Eden

$2,800.00

24 x 36 inches

Mixed-media painting on canvas

Material: paper, personal ephemera, pattern paper, tissue, adhesive, acrylic and oil paint on canvas

Artist’s Notes:

In "Eden," I aimed to create a world that is both reduced and rich. The act of sanding down and reworking the surface allowed me to see things in a new light, to find beauty in the process of change, and to appreciate the imperfections that add character to the work.

The painting showcases delicate botanical forms emerging from a textured, almost ethereal background. The central foliage, which appears to float within the space, and use of soft tones, gives the piece a serene, almost dreamlike quality.

The title "Eden” evokes the biblical Garden of Eden. This allusion adds a layer of spiritual contemplation to the piece, suggesting an idealized natural world that is both timeless and sacred.
